LISASumo is a program that allows the communication between LISA+ and SUMO helping to execute more complex traffic controls on the intersections than SUMO originally allows.

Since LISASumo was build on Java it can be run on any operating system. LISASUMO is licensed under the GPL.

Getting started

LISASumo Main window

The first step consists of creating a LISASumo simulation, which is a directory containing:

  • SUMO files (*.add.xml, *.net.xml, *.rou.xml, *.sumocfg, etc)
  • A LISASumo configuration file
  • A directory with the LISA+ control units files

The default directory where LISASumo will look for simulations is ./simulations, this can be changed using the System Preferences Window (Tools -> Preferences).

Sample project.

Configuration file

The LISASumo configuration is a XML file with the mandatory tags input and controlUnits and the non-mandatory tag detectors.

<simulation>
    <input>
        <lisa>detectors</lisa>
    </input>

    <controlUnits>
        <item  lisa="z1_fg1" sumo="gneJ1" />
    </controlUnits>

    <detectors>
        <item  lisa="z1_fg1.D1" sumo="myLoop1" />
        <item  lisa="z1_fg1.D2" sumo="myLoop2" />
    </detectors>
</simulation>

Caution:
Up to version 4279 of JOSM, nodes and ways created or modified by JOSM are assigned a negative ID. With each run of JOSM, these IDs are recalculated. Please do not rely on them in your SUMO files. If you decide not to upload your changes to OpenStreetMap, you can remove the minuses in the IDs, assure that IDs are unique and then safely refer to them in SUMO files.
